A professional destination photographer for your Elopement in Provence
Professional destination wedding photographer
I'm Antonin, professional photographer and I offer to capture your elopement in France or abroad.
Traditionally, elopement involves the couple running away to get married without informing or obtaining the consent of their loved ones. The modern definition, however, involves getting married in a more intimate setting than what a traditional wedding might offer.
Some couples prefer to celebrate their love discreetly, and elopement allows the couple to choose the location, timing, and manner in which they want to celebrate their union, without conforming to a traditional wedding.
The idea of escaping spontaneously together to get married can be particularly romantic.
Why choose an elopement instead of a wedding?
Elopement, or the trend of couples seeking escape and authenticity.
Which destination to choose for your elopement
As a professional photographer based in Provence, I am fortunate to capture elopements in beautiful locations. Choosing Provence for your elopement means benefiting from picturesque settings such as romantic vineyards, historically rich medieval castles, and charming Provence narrow streets.
Each elopement I photograph is a unique visual story, showcasing love and experience that Provence has to offer.
If you are considering organizing your wedding or elopement in Provence, let me share with you some recommended locations:
The Abbey of Sénanque, surrounded by the beauty of Provence with its lavender fields.
Le château La Coste: a vineyard estate featuring a magnificent castle, vineyards, and contemporary art installations.
Gordes, a charming little Provençal village offering a unique atmosphere and picturesque setting.
Les calanques de Marseille for adventurous couples. With paradisiacal beaches with crystal-clear waters and mountains offering breathtaking views, you'll enjoy a stunning Mediterranean landscape.
Portugal and Provence are dream destinations to organise an elopement.

As a wedding and elopement photographer in Provence, my job also takes me on occasional travels. This summer, I had the opportunity to go to Sintra in Portugal to photograph the elopement of an American couple.
The region of Sintra in Portugal is renowned for its fairytale palaces, lush gardens, and breathtaking panoramic views. Covering this elopement in photos was a chance to capture the timeless elegance of the surroundings.
In this initial series of images, we witness the emotion of the couple during the traditional "First Look," a specific moment in an elopement where the couple sees each other for the first time before the official start of the event. As a photographer, I remain as discreet as possible to capture authentic professional photographies.
First look on the rooftop
When I photograph an elopement either it is in Provence or Portugal, I always suggest taking the time to create composed portraits during a special session with the newlyweds. The couple's photo session during your elopement should remain a relaxing moment, with no need to worry—poses come naturally, and if needed, I will be there to guide you.
Beyond wedding and elopement photography in Provence and Portugal, I also engage in fashion reportage with models. I enjoy incorporating elements of fashion and editorial photography to enhance my shots. You can explore a variety of projects in my portfolios below.
All the highlights of your elopement in Provence should be covered by a professional photographer.
Lifestyle photographies for your elopement in Provence
Choosing to organise your elopement in Portugal, particularly at Praia de Ursa, allows you to enjoy a breathtaking view of the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.
On the photos below, the ceremony was celebrated at the cliffs of Praia de Ursa, and every important moment was captured in photographs.
This creates a romantic and magical atmosphere, perfect for immortalising this special moment with a professional photographer. As a wedding photographer based in Provence, capturing these photo series tends to remind me of the spectacular and rugged landscapes of the Calanques National Park in Marseille, a place I hold dear.

Beach Elopement Celebration
During your elopement in Provence, opting for a secluded beach adds a touch of romantic adventure that will be reflected in your wedding or elopement photos.
Natural elements like ocean waves, golden sand, and cliffs contribute to creating successful portraits by the sea. Considering logistical aspects such as beach access (especially in a wedding dress) is essential, but the effort is worthwhile.
In Portugal, for a natural and authentic atmosphere in your elopement, Praia de Ursa provides an ideal setting. On this photo session, after a hike of approximately thirty minutes, a splendid backdrop unfolds, providing the perfect setting for capturing the final wedding photographs of the day. That day, as a professional photographer I took advantage of the soft light and warm tones of the golden hour, creating a warm ambiance and subtle shadows for intimate portraits.
As a wedding and lifestyle photographer with experience in numerous outdoor photo projects, I enjoy playing with the changing light of the golden hour, offering a variety of creative possibilities for professional portrait compositions.
